I didn't think this would appeal to me...but I got started and I didn't want to stop. If you like puzzles--well, even if you don't like puzzles--you just might enjoy putting these together.

John was one of the very first psychologists online--which is why I'm a keen fan of his--and his site has countless articles on psychology, health and DSM disorders. I think he's covered just about every subject in mental health. There's also a moderated board and Sunday chats with John.

If you're considering online college courses this might be the first site to visit. It's easy to navigate and the information isn't overwhelming like many sites. It's also got a handy Find a College tool organized by what type of degree you're looking for. It looks like it's mainly for USA colleges but it has information for out of state or out of country scholarship opportunities.

This is an excellent list of natural herbal remedies for depression. I also like that Naturopathic Physician Dr. Nicole Sundene, strongly discourages mixing natural remedies with pharmaceuticals.

Of course I'm a big fan...she lays it down on the line with how depression cannot be "cured" by drugs or herbal remedies. They help only if you continue to take them. The real solution she says, is therapy.

For an alternative approach to anti-depressants consider St. John's Wort. I think you'll find everything you need to make a decision including research studies. But there's more...99 worse things you can say to someone who's depressed and 23 things you can say. Great site.

A jam packed resource for anything in the mental health field...especially useful if you want a definition of a disorder. It lists sources that have a fairly traditional medical orientation but there's a growing list of holistic and alternative resources that's worth checking out.
